Waterways, creeks, streams, flow through many of our neighborhoods, under bridges, and provide a quiet respite on a hot day. These waterways were instrumental in the development of Pike Township and supplied a needed resources during the early settlement years. They weave us together around

Waterways, creeks, streams, flow through many of our neighborhoods, under bridges, and provide a quiet respite on a hot day. These waterways were instrumental in the development of Pike Township and supplied a needed resources during the early settlement years. They weave us together around their stories. The health of a community is dependent and evident on the health of the waterways. Keeping them vibrant is necessary for continued growth.

The Neighbors of Westchester, NOW, was founded in the late 80's to oversee community crime watch, street light payments and snow removal donations. NOW helped the recreation association manage events for many years, including an egg hun
Along Crooked Creek's northern boundaries at 79th Street, Westchester was developed in the 50's & 60's. The Neighbors of Westchester, NOW, was founded in the late 80's to oversee community crime watch, street light payments and snow removal donations. NOW helped the recreation association manage events for many years, including an egg hunt, garage sale, and Fall Festival. NOW has since become the lead in all neighborhood events. Membership is voluntary but necessary to keep services and events running.

Currently 50 Homes built in the late 50s,60's, 70's enjoy nature at their back door. Wetlands, creek and wildlife, Indiana bats, falcons, fox, deer and more.
